CROSSROADS CAMPAIGN

Dunchurch Crossroads

Important Public Notice
Dunchurch Crossroads
No Bypass - No New Houses

To those who care about Dunchurch
The Ashlawn housing developments will have a major impact on our village centre.

ASHLAWN HOUSING DEVELOPMENT
Every person in Dunchurch will be impacted by the way in which Rugby Borough Council apply the Supplementary Planning Document. 5000 new homes with over 12,000 people and around 10,000 cars plus warehouse trucks are planned a miles or so from our village - - increasing traffic congestion, pollution, vibration, noise and deteriorating the already overloaded crossroads and pollution hot spot in the centre of our Medieval village, a designated Conservation Area.

WCC PLAN TO RECONFIGURE OUR HISTORIC CROSSROADS
The badly misjudged WCC plan to modify our ancient statue green to create another traffic lane at the Rugby Road traffic lights must be one of the daftest proposed solutions to address the current and expected increased traffic volumes. The proposed extra lane not only butcher our historic village green conservation area, it will by admission of RBC increase air pollution in the area which is currently the worst air quality in Warwickshire!

A bypass is the only solution - We must have a bypass
There is only one proper way for WCC to proceed now and that is to insist that the developers delay Ashlawn housebuilding until the proposed bypass/relief road is constructed. For the WC Council to put the profits of the developers before the health of the people of Dunchurch is a scandal. If you wish to object to this plan please sign our crossroads petition.

PETITION
We invite you to sign this crossroads petition for the sake of everyone‘s health and safety, the better protection of our historic community and to improve the environment in which we all live, work and play.

We demand :-
RBC must act now for the ONLY solution to the traffic/pollution problems in Dunchurch -a complete bypass and leave the Dunchurch crossroads as it now is.

Dunchurch needs a Bypass - No bypass no new houses.

Whether a resident of Dunchurch, neighbouring villages or a Friend of Dunchurch please submit NOW.
Partners should sign the petition separately.

Together we can make a difference! Thank you.
