You can help to make Dunchurch the village so many want to see.
The Sands in Dunchurch is an integral part of our community and have volunteered to provide at least one wheelbarrow floral display. This will be located in the village centre on judging day Friday 19th July.
JOIN IN AND BE PART OF DUNCHURCH IN BLOOM
Any type of wheelbarrow will be acceptable with any flowers or plants but the colour theme for the event is pink, lilac, purple, pale blue and white.
The completed wheelbarrows must be delivered to the centre of the village early on Friday 19th and can be collected at 4:00 pm or soon after. When you have decided how many wheelbarrows you wish to provide please advise FODS of the quantity (it will assist planning). Your wheelbarrow must have an easy to read sign attached to it with your NAME on it
We are hoping that every property in Dunchurch including all homes,
businesses, shops, pubs, schools, restaurants etc will this year join in
what we believe is the first attempt by our whole community to make
all of Dunchurch BLOOM!
If each property in our village has a floral display on their main roadside
frontage (judging our village will be carried out from the roadside) it will
greatly enhance the environment of our lovely village and we just might win
the large village category of the Britain In Bloom competition!
Rugby Borough Council have set the theme for 2019 as 'Green in Action'
and the chosen colours for the event are pink and purple. Trixi Million Bells
petunias 'Pink Petticoats' are our chosen plant for Dunchurch in Bloom.
It's not just about flowers?
Heart of England judges will be looking at and marking on floral displays.
Well kept village greens and clean well maintained street furniture and signage
and they will also be looking for a litter free environment. FODS volunteers
will be working with villagers to this end
